Creative Naming...

I love how artist come up with pretty rad titles for their work, be it a beautiful

name... or a creative description... I unfortunately haven't mastered the task

of naming my work... Something I'm going to start working on...

 

But until then here's another unnamed piece I drew for my Curvy submission.

I'm gonna give it AWAY!!!

So around Christmas I posted happy awesomeness to everyone via Facebook and mentioned that I would have a giveaway type thing soon!!! Well the time is very near!!! I've been in sketch mode on and off and have come up with a piece that I'm really excited about.... This is how it's going to work... I'm going to post step by step progress shots of the Illustration that's up for grabs on Facebook... All YOU have to do is "SHARE" at least one of the shots and "LIKE" my PAGE (not just the pic)... I'm going to make a limited edition print of 25 ONLY... The winner will receive a signed print 1/25... My first EVER print… My first EVER giveaway!

It's been a while since posting... BUT I have a good excuse!

I've been working on my Curvy submission!!!

I've never done anything like this before

(just showing my work to the word is a big deal for me).

And I have NO IDEA what they are looking for! All the artist that have graced the Curvy

pages are AMAZING! totally mind blowing!

But one thing I have learnt since starting is that it's best to draw what

you want rather than what everyone else wants!

So here's a snip it of my new pic...

 



And up she goes... think I might do a polar opposite... mix it up a little... watch this space Mx

PS... This is me pretending to hang it... ta my handyman hubby for getting it up x the wall colour looks HEAPS different too... bummer

Ahhh HAPPY MONDAY Bloggerland...

So I have a confession... I'M TOTALLY ADDICTED TO DIY TV PROGRAMS!!! yep, sure am... To the point where our house looks like a demo zone!

The hubby's just as bad (Although he's not overly into watching other people getting stuck into crazy chaos) he's blimmin' handy with a sledge hammer...

"Don't like that built in cupboard" Boom Gone...

"Not really into the kitchen aye" Boom Gone...

So we took a wee drive to the local DIY store to get paint for our feature wall in the lounge... we were thinking a grey/dusky bluey safe colour. Gosh knows what came over us but the feature wall is now TEAL! Bright smack you in the chops TEAL... Looks AWESOME and as soon as it dried I knew it needed some sort of pic to hang on it... Unfortunately at this time I can't afford to buy a striking piece of kick ass art... so I did my own... what do you think?

First illustration of 2013!!! This is totally of the radar of what I wanted to create for my first pic... I was thinking butterflies or moths in beautiful flowers bla-de-bla... instead I got a Tunnel-Web Spider creeping over a naked body!!!.... Hummm... you know, thinking about it, maybe I'm just not a butterflies and flowers girl?... this spider does remind me of the pet one I had living in my room when I was younger... Scared the bejeebers out of my Mum.... Sorry Ma x

 

Well I hope that everyone had their kick ass New Year!

I'm not going to tell you about ours because I don't think falling asleep by 8 watching Tinkerbell with Miss 4 is the rock'n'roll image I was imagining...

Oh how times have changed!!!
